Illegal Business Signage
Illegal Business Signage – Sacramento Attorneys
This morning Susan Peters, District 3, sent out an email notifying subscribers that “County Teams” will be traveling through the Sacramento area notifying businesses about “potential non-conforming” signs. The goal is to provide business owners with advance notice of potential illegal signs and provide them with an opportunity to bring the signs into compliance or remove them. According to the newsletter, the Teams will mostly be looking for signs not in compliance with public right of ways and utility poles.
The Teams will be traveling around on April 25, 2014. If a sign is in non-compliance, the business owner will be contacted and provided fifteen (15) days to correct the issue(s).
Review the Sacramento County’s Zoning Code to ensure your business is in compliance before a County Team places your business’s sign on a watch list. The applicable zoning code may be found in Title III, Chapter 35.
Questions on business zoning compliance may be directed to Planning at Sacplan@Saccounty.net or call (916) 874-6221.
